"...I guess so," Aino replied, dropping his hand from her head. Tugging on his uniform to straighten it out once again, the general executed a professional bow. Time to put the mask back on, he thought as he plastered a blank expression over his face and walked towards the entrance to the mansion.

That is, after tossing Rosario a significant look and mouthing the words, 'We'll meet again.'

Rosario's eyes widened when she saw Aino mouth those words. Her face softened, smiling gently as she turned and started to walk away. "Come on Merlin, lets go." Rosario said softly to her sprite, all the while thinking of Aino. She couldn't wait to meet him again.

Incaire saw the boy walking by and his geniune smile was dropped. It was back to the one his parents had forced on him. He stuck his hand out to the boy "Hello nice party wouldn't you say?" He said to the decorated boy.

"security for the night at least" he looked over the boy he was highly decorated even for a guest at this party it was a bit formal. He released the boys hand and spoke back "I guess I should be heading back inside anyways i've not seen much of this party...not that i'm exactly disappointed" he paused at what he had said. Why had he said too much? He covered up his last sentence with a toothy grin"

Aino noticed his slip, and decided that it was within his job description to poke fun at - er, thoroughly question - the security guard's seeming dislike of socialites. "Oh?" He asked, raising a fine eyebrow. "You mean you don't like guarding the countries best and brightest?" 'Well, maybe 'best and brightest' is a bit of an over-exaggeration...' he thought to himself before mentally shrugging. He wanted to see the other man's reaction.

He froze...he had always been very passive aggressive with his disdain for the throne but he knew what speaking bad about a noble did...he had seen revolutionaries and what the king had done to them. He had to cover his tracks or there was a chance this noble would pull out a sword and execute him on the spot. "Not a fan of parties...quite anti social is all." He sat there with a bead of sweat running down his neck watching the boys face for signs of disbelief. because that was his sign to run

'Ooh, so he really doesn't like the nobles,' Aino thought, more humorously than indignant. The kid in front of him was so easy to read; or maybe the prince was just perceptive. Either way, he kept his face carefully blank - if somewhat amused - and took his excuse. "Well then, shall we head inside?"

"Of course its cold out here..." what was that!? What was that look? Was it too easy to fix that scenario? would he have some kind of signal to set off an ambush when they got inside where it would be easier to catch the gullible knight? He had to keep on his toes. Only he could turn a normal party into a possible struggle for his life. All he knew was he had to keep close to this person and watch what he did

Aino could practically see the guard become more and more flustered, and he had to suppress a chuckle. Messing with people was just so much fun - and now he was starting to sound like his father. Forgetting his company for just a moment, the green-haired teen brought his hand up to cover his eyes and rubbed his temples. Gods, he hadn't even entered the party yet and he was getting a migraine.

After a moment the prince exhaled slowly, rolled his shoulders back, and straightened his spine; it wouldn't do to show weakness in front of his elders, even something as little as a headache. Finally, he walked through the high archway entrance and walked through the open double doors into the ballroom.

He escorted the prince into the room and kept his eye on all of the people searching for any signs of an attack. No weapons,as expected of a party like this. "So your a guest at this party, if you don't mind me asking what status could you have that would lead to you being at such a big event?" Keep him talking keep him talking was all he could think

Considering the fact that he was surrounded by nobles and therefore was literally in his element, Aino didn't feel the slightest need to abridge his identity, even if it was just a knight asking. "My name is Aino Jonckhier," he replied absently, scanning the room for the mayor. "I am the commanding general of the Vintes Aero Force, second in line to the throne." Only then did it strike him that the soldier had never introduced himself, and wine red eyes regarded the other man with subtle curiosity. "I apologise, I don't believe I caught your name...?"

Incaire's heart fell out of his ass...he felt scared around a noble he couldn't even remeber to breathe at normal intervals anymore he was trying his best but he could feel his fear slipping out more and more to the surface. and to make it all the worse now he would have to give his name to be remembered if it was ever needed for a wanted poster. "Incaire....your highness...Incaire Winren" it left his lips and he felt as if he wasn't just saying his name but signing it on a death sentence.

Aino smiled, either not noticing or choosing to ignore Incaire's blatant nervousness, and responded with a short, "Pleased to meet you, Incaire Winren," before continuing his search for the telltale dark grey hair of the governor. Where was that man?

He saw the boy looking around seeming completely disinterested in their conversation. However with the circumstances that could not have made him happier. In fact a break from the prince's piercing glare gave him a moment to compose himself and take a breathe refocusing himself "Searching for something your highness? Perhaps I could help you" and keep you in my sights he thought ((its something my mom says whenever my cousin scares her))

Turning back around at the question, Aino paused for a moment before pasting another polite smile onto his face. "Help would be wonderful..." He trailed off, then asked, "What is your rank?"

He gave the prince a classic 'I do not want to answer that question look' but he knew deniying a prince anything even an answer was not a good idea especially in his current position "An average foot soldier sir" there wasn't much room for promotion when you were as Dilliberetly bad at your job as he was.

"Ah," he replied, completely unpeturbed by the scathing look. "Well, I happen to be searching for the Governor; if you're willing to, oh Average Foot Soldier, your assistance is very much obliged." Based on the knight's build, he was certain he could attain a higher rank if he so desired. So the real questoin was, why was he holding himself back?

"Of course your highness!" He said hastily as he scurried off. He had decided that it may not be the best idea to hang on to his initial plan of staying close to the prince. He had assesed by now that he was safe and that the prince was not in any way trying to hurt him. But the questions were coming in hot. he had a feeling this wasn't your normal spoiled rich boy prince. He was more dangerous when he was speaking to you and pulling information. So while not speaking was not an option this "mission" to find the Governor was more than an exuse to get away. "Now where is this man?" ((are you going to RP him? or should I just make a post of finding him))

Aino watched as the soldier ran off. The boy, seemingly average, was actually quite intriguing. He was clearly in the very least a Water Elemental, maybe even a Wind. So why did he have some sort of animosity towards the throne? He seemed none too happy to get away from the prince when he asked for help, and the moment he mentioned his title he could sense his nervousness. And he was clearly keeping his true abilities from his superior soldiers, which raised more questions than answers. In short, the man was an enigma.

Shaking his head, Aino returned to the task at hand - finding his "Assignment" in a sea of waltzing couples. How hard could it possibly be?

As incaire scuddled around the crowd as fast as he could he looked back for a passing moment to see the prince staring at him with those calculating eyes. He could feel it he was now on the prince's radar and that may have been the worse possible thing. In his brief lapse of thought he bumbed into a rather large man almost knocking him over "I'm so sorry sir" The man gave him a glare that almost pushed the terrifying eyes of the prince to the back of his mind the man opened his mouth to complain "Sorry!? SORRY!? Do you have any idea who I am!? I am the governor and I could have you arrested on a whim! I think you owe me far more than an apology" and suddenly yet again this man made him miss the heir to the throne. At least he feigned manners even if he did have some strange alterier motive under the surface. "Bow to me!" The man said..Incaire felt a string inside him tightening on the verge of snapping. This was exactly the kind of thing that he was trying to avoid that night

"My sincerest apologies, Governer." While the man yelled himself red at Incaire, the teen's expression becoming more and more distressed with each passing moment, Aino had silently made his way through the whispering crowd and now stood behind the overweight man, a single slender hand resting lightly on his shoulder to grab his attention. "I am the one who sent this lowly soldier on the quest to find you; hence I will accept any reprecussions you might have wished upon him," he said, dipping his head in a slight bow before levelling his sharp gaze back up into the mayor's beady eyes, not once glancing at the knight throughout the ordeal.

The man was still positively red with anger but the prince's gesture gave him a moment to stop yelling as he looked around and as if he was only then realizing that he was making a scene he silenced him self then took a moment and spoke in a much more controlled voice to Aino "Of course your highness. But just remember that dogs that get to far off their leashes can sometimes get hurt" "He gave an angry glance back down to Incaire and then turned back to the prince smiling "Now if you wouldn't mind I would like to speak about our little engagement your highness" Incaire looked up at the man kissing the butt of the prince. It only made him more sick but Aino's actions had given him a moment to compose himself as well. and as much as he hated to admit it he was thankful for it.
